Chanting the Circle (named after the film by Tamalyn Miller) is a mixed-media digital album created by an international group of artists exploring the possibilities of listening and sonic practices as a framework for healing and transformative art-making, inspired by a range of shamanisms, traditions (old and new) and creative practices from around the world.

The work on this album is inspired by shamanic journeying techniques, magic and ritual, and adopts philosophies of Deep and Quantum Listening as proposed by Pauline Oliveros, as well as the lived experiences and research of the artists, both individually and collectively.

Work that is labeled 'Audiovisual' is recommended to be watched as well as listened to, although this album is also designed as a sonic journey or sound walk through your own imagery.

The download of this album also includes the digital Tarot Deck 'XXIII - The Shaman' created by the MHDL Collective Artists, and a range of digital ephemera.
